Robert L. “Bob” Miller, 84, of rural Bellefonte, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Bob was born August 5, 1930 in Yarnell the son of the late Charles L. and Anna Koch Miller. on October 28, 1950 he married the former Lois “Skip” Hoy Miller who survives at home.
He was a member of the Yarnell United Methodist Church. Bob had worked at Hoover's Esso Gas Station and Haupt's Feed Store both in Milesburg. In 1950 he went to work at Cerro Copper & Brass as a laborer retiring in 1992. After his retirement from Cerro he drove cars for Dix Honda, Mattas Motor, and Dunlap Ford. Bob also drove school bus for Gerald Miller Garage. Bob was also President of the Advent Cemetery Association. Most recently, he enjoyed cutting art work from wood, that he donated to the church bazaar and many as gifts for family and friends.
Bob is also survived by his four daughters, Judith Ann (Richard) Smith of Manheim, Cynthia Lee (Kim) Kunes of Howard, Beth Ellen Miller of Riverside, CA and Wendy Sue Miller of Enola, Pa.; his son, Kenneth L.(Joan) Miller of State College and his brother, Jack Miller of Yarnell. Bob is also survived by his four grandchildren, Heidi Lynn Smith, Bradley Smith, Dan Miller and Doug Miller. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his two sisters, Florence Shawley and Jean Artz and his brother Gerald Miller.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015 at 3:00 P.M. at the Yarnell United Methodist Church, 808 Yarnell Road, Bellefonte, Pa. with Pastor Douglas W. Mellott officiating. Burial will be in the Advent Cemetery, Boggs Twp., Centre Co., Pa.
