Robert S. “Coonie” Conrad, 84, of Carlisle died March 12, 2018 at his residence.
Born May 14, 1933 in Carlisle he was a son of the late Robert V. and Ruth A. (Weaver) Conrad.
On July 7, 1957, he married to the former Janet Tusing, who survives in Carlisle.
Coonie was a member of the Carlisle Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family, bowling for the Eagles and the Moose, and feeding the deer and wildlife.
In addition to his wife, Janet, he is survived by two daughters, Barbara A. Culhane (Tim) and Brenda L. Vernet (Donald) both of Carlisle; three sons, Robert D. (Erica) of Newville, Steven W. of Carlisle and David A. (Mary) of Shermansdale; two sisters, Ethel Hurley and Catherine Brewbaker both of Carlisle; twelve grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Raymond, Roy and John Conrad and a grandson, Eric Conrad.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the Carlisle Baptist Church, 701 Walnut Bottom Road, Carlisle, PA 17013.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Robert’s name may be made to the Carlisle Baptist Church.
