Ronald L. Henry, 68, of Indiana, died Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009, at Shadyside Hospital. A son of William Wilson and Louise Woomer Henry, he was born August 5, 1941 in Huntingdon.
Mr. Henry was a 1959 graduate of Tyrone High School. He was retired from PennDot and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. He served on the Indiana Borough Civil Service Commission and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served during the Vietnam Conflict. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his mother, Louise Henry, Spruce Creek; his wife of 46 years, Marion R. Henry; four children, September L. Henry, Indiana, R. Wayne Henry, Greensburg, Angela R. Ungate and husband, Andrew, Roxboro, N.C., and Kara C. Henry, Pittsburgh; five grandchildren, Arley Henry, Marissa Hungate, Drew Hungate, Tekoah Henry and Talia Daniels; a brother, Retired Lt. Col. Frank D. Henry and wife, Barbara, Pennsylvania Furnace; the following dear and precious family friends, Debi Daniels, Michael Daniels and wife, Susan and Sara Daniels, Tonya Witchel and Nicholas Witchel. In addition to his father, he was preceded by Korine B. Daniels.
Friends were received Tuesday at Robinson-Lytle, Inc. in Indiana. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Grace United Methodist Church with Rev. Brad Lauster officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery.
