Ronald Lee Gibboney, Jr., 32, of Port Matilda, passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2011 in State College.

Born on March 9, 1979 in State College, he is a son of Ronald L. Sr. and Jeannie (Imler) Gibboney.

Ron was a graduate of VICA – State College Area High School, where he won the state competition with VICA.

He was the owner of the former Countrywide Auto in Pennsylvania Furnace.

He was a gifted mechanic, who had a good sense of humor and had a big heart. He loved his family and especially cherished the time spent with his daughter.

Ron also had fought a long battle with diabetes and pancreatitis.

Mr. Gibboney was a member of the State College Christian & Missionary Alliance Church.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Hannah; step daughter, Natalie; sister, Anita Chiarkas (Peter) and their son Matthew of State College; maternal grandparents, Floyd and Peggy Imler of State College; Aunts and Uncles, Sue and Mike Feller, Barbara and Craig Hargenrader, Trish and Dwayne Lewis, Randy and Bonnie Gibboney, and Don and Jackie Gibboney; and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Walter D. and Janet L. Gibboney.

Family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 and from 12:00 PM until the time of the Funeral Services on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at the State College Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, 1221 West Whitehall Road State College, PA.

Funeral Services will be held from the State College Christian & Missionary Alliance Church on Wendesday, beginning at 1:00 PM, with Pastor David Janssen officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
