Russell E. Dolan Sr., 79 of Howard, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at the Hershey Medical Center in Hershey. He was born on February 28, 1939 in Howard, the son of late Harold Edward & Ethel May Wolfe Dolan.
He had a strong christian faith. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. In his youth he was a talented athlete in many sports. He enjoyed playing cards and pitching horsehoes. Russ was a member of the Beech Creek American Legion and the Howard VFW.
He is survived by one son; Russ Jr. (Cathy) of Howard, one daughter; Kandy McCloskey of Port Matilda, one brother; Neven “Fib” (Chris) Dolan of Howard, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son Rex Dolan and many brothers and sisters.
Friends and family will be received at the Howard United Methodist Church, 144 W. Main Street, Howard from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2018. Burial will be at the Jacksonville Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
