Ruth Eleanor (Wink) Kitchen, 68 of Beech Creek, passed away into God's loving arms with family by her side on August 13, 2015. She fought a long and courageous battle.
She was born on Jnauary 1, 1947 i Monument to Lena Eura “Sis” (Fisher) and Francis Alexander “Frenchie” Perrot.
She graduated from Lock Haven High School in 1964 and then married Charles C. “Mike” Kitchen on July 4, 1964.
She worked at the Big N in Lock Haven and then opened Mike & Wink's with her husband in Beech Creek where she served her community for almost 22 years from September 1977 until April 1999. She retired fromo Pete's Meats in March 2014.
Wink's family was her pride and joy. She recently celebrated her 51st anniversary with her husband, Mike. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She devoted most of her time doting over her husband, children, grandchildren and her beloved dog, Bear.
Wink is survived by her husband, Charles “Mike” Kitchen, daugher; Renee Kitchen (Pete Alterio), son and daughter-in-law; Charles E and Melani Kitchen, sister and brother-in-law; Sherry and Gary Miller, three grandchildren; Brandyn Lomison, Artic Kitchen, and Tiana Kitchen, 45 nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lena “Sis” Perrot, father; Francis “Frenchie” Perrot, son; Michael Kitchen, sister; Leanna Glossner and niece; Cherie “Toni” Glossner.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 Main Street, Howard with the Rev Alan Eckenroad officiating. Burial will be at the Hays-Fearon Cemetery in Beech Creek. Friends and family will be received from 6 – 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at the funeral home. A celebration of life will be held at the Beech Creek Community Center following the interment.
