Sara A. “Bebe” Widmann, 88, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 27, 2015 at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Born on December 13, 1926, Lock Haven, PA, she was the daughter of the late John M. and Mildred (Bittner) Widmann. She was the second child of seven; her elder sister Margaret W. Allen preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a niece Marion Allen, wife of Tom Allen of Snow Shoe who survives.

She is survived by a brother John and his wife Nina of Scotland, PA, a brother Tom and his wife Beryl of Buffalo Run, a sister Sandra Shamp and her husband Jim of Sun Lakes, AZ, a brother Charles and his wife Grace of State College, and a brother Fred of PA Furnace. She is also survivbed by a nience Barbara Allen of Cave Creek, AZ, a niece Gail King and her husband Bob of Bellefonte, a nephew John A. Widmann and his wife Diane of Frederick MD, a niece Sarah Myers and her husband Dale of Chambersburg, PA and a newphew Kurt Widmann and his wife Elizabeth of Chambersburg, PA, a niece Leslie Shamp-Beaver and her husband Donald of Chandler, AZ, a niece Karen Shamp and her husband Dan Quigley of Montrose, CO, and a newphew Jim Shamp and his wife Carrie Weber of Hatboro, PA, plus many other grand nieces and nephews.

She graduated from Bellefonte High School with the class of 1944. She worked for Dan Grove Motors in Bellefonte as a secretary prior to graduation, and after graduation as a Secretary and parts runner. In the early 1950’s she began work at Titan Metal Manufacturing/Cerro Copper and Brass as a secretary in the Human Relations Department for 36 years until her retirement. After her retirement, she served as a volunteer secretary at St. Johns United Church of Christ, and as a volunteer at the Bellefone Senior Citizen’s Center.

She was a life long member of St. John’s Evangelical and Reformed Church/UCC. She was a kindergarten Sunday School teacher who would provide rides for the neighborhood children. She was also a member of the chancel choir and the Halcyon fellowship for many years.

She will always be endeared and remembered to many as the generous and loving Aunt Bebe. She loved children and cats.

Services will be private. Burial will take place at Centre County Memorial Park.
