Shelley Y. Schwartz, 58, formerly of State College, died Monday, December 10, 2012 at Valley View Haven in Belleville, after a courageous 25 year battle with multiple sclerosis. She was surrounded by her family and friends during her final days. They are comforted by knowing that Shelley is resting peacefully.
Born March 11, 1954, in Lock Haven, she was the daughter of Eugene and Geraldine (Bright) Rossman of Centre Hall.
Shelley previously worked as a legal secretary and was a former member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Centre Hall and the State College Evangelical Free Church.
In addition to her parents she is survived by one son, Brett (Kristen) Witmer of Bellefonte; three brothers, Barry (Karen) Rossman of Centre Hall, Steve (Kimberly) Rossman of Centre Hall and Doug Rossman of Spring Mills; one sister, Minette Homan of Centre Hall; and two grandchildren, David and Sammy.
She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Terry Homan.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 13, 2012, from 10-11 AM at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 226 S. Pennsylvania Avenue, Centre Hall. A memorial service will follow at 11:00AM at the funeral home, with the Reverend Gerald Peachey officiating.
Interment will be at the Reformed and Lutheran Cemetery in Centre Hall.
