Steven James Noecker, 47, of Northumberland, formerly of Snow Shoe, passed away August 14, 2010.
Born Oct. 11, 1962, he was the son of Samuel and Lucielle (Witmer) Noecker, of Northumberland. He was a 1980 graduate of Shikellamy High School, Sunbury and a graduate of Pennsylvania College of Technology with a degree in radio communications.
Steve started his career in radio communications at Live Wire, CB Radio and Sales. He then became one of most well known "CB men" in the state, opening his own business, "Windjammer Communications" CB Radio and Sales at Travel Port in Milesburg and Reese's Truck Stop in Snow Shoe. He was a very intelligent man, especially in math. He had a passion for standing up for what he believed in whether right or wrong. He enjoyed many things, including chess and shooting pool and riding his four-wheeler. He also loved to just relax at home in the spa or working out in the yard. He will be sadly missed but not forgotten.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Timothy Noecker, of Northumberland. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Kelly Jo (McKinley) Noecker and his daughter, Taylor Kierra Noecker, both of Snow Shoe. He is also survived by four brothers, Glen (Nancy) Leitzel, of Northumberland, Dale Leitzel and partner, Edna Human, of Northumberland, Keith and (Linda) Leitzel, of Sunbury; his beloved friend, Katie Quigly, of Sunbury; and several nieces and nephews.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Steve is laid to rest at Riverview Memorial Park in Halifax.
