Sylvia Dori Lee Sylvia Dori Lee passed from this life on July 9, 2010, at Hershey Medical Center.

The daughter of the late Peter and Anna DeFrancesco Dori, Sylvia grew up in Stowe, Pa. She attended Saint Aloysius School in Pottstown and Reading Central Catholic High School. After earning a BS degree in Psychology from Penn State, Sylvia made the Penn State area her home.

She was most proud of her three children, Tracy Lee (Dr .George Riley), of Annandale, Va.; David Lee (Cindy Lee), of Spring Mills; and Megan Clark (John Clark), of Annville, Pa., with whom she resided. However, the joy of her life were her grandchildren; Bethany, Dana, and Bryan Lee, Peter and Anna Riley, and Jacob Clark.

Sylvia founded the County Employment Training Agency in Centre County and became its Executive Director. Under her leadership, CETA expanded and grew into The Mid-State Employment and Training Consortium, serving nine counties in Pennsylvania. Driven by her compassionate spirit, upon retirement, Sylvia dedicated herself to helping pregnant women by serving as the Executive Director of the Crisis Pregnancy Center in State College.

lways the student, Sylvia kept active in campus life by opening her home to many Penn State international exchange students. She enjoyed learning about new cultures while guiding these students in American customs. Sylvia will be remembered for her eclectic style and her appreciation for creativity. She enjoyed antiquing, gardening, crocheting, and bird watching. St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Hershey was dear to her heart.

Surviving are her brother Joseph Dori, husband of Anna Mae; and sister-in-law Pearl Dori, widow of Alfred. She was preceded in death by her brothers John and Alfred Dori; and sister Marie Dori.

A funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Pottstown on Friday, July 16, at 11 a.m. Family will receive friends at the church from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Interment will be at St. Aloysius Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research, 122 South Michigan Avenue, Suite 1700, Chicago, IL 60603. Warker Troutman Funeral Home, 726 High St., Pottstown, is in charge of arrangements.
