Virginia Hellen Luse, 74, of Spring Mills, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at Centre Crest Nursing Center in Bellefonte.
Born on April 5, 1935 in Bellefonte, she was a daughter of the late Richard Albert and Charlottee Rose (DeArmittee) Alterio, Sr.
On June 27, 1953, she was married to Keith D. Luse, who preceded her in death on December 1, 2005.
Virginia was a graduate of Bellefonte High School.
She enjoyed flower arranging and gardening.
Virginia was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Centre Chapter 207, where she served as a Past Worthy Matron.
She is survived by one daughter, Mona R. Booher of McKees Rocks; two sons, Keith B. Luse Sr., and his wife Sharon of Centre Hall, and Christopher P. Luse and his wife Trina of Spring Mills; two sisters, Mary E. Shawley and Sandra A. Page; three grandchildren, Keith B. Luse, Jr. and his wife Heather, Rory D. Luse and his wife Tonya, and Paige E. Luse; and five great-grandchildren, Abagael K. Luse, Isabella L. Luse, Raegyn A. Luse, Ryleigh F. Luse, and Luke D. Luse.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Alterio, and one sister, Beatrice Kelly.
Friends will be received from 12:00 to 1:30 PM, Wednesday, August 19, 2009, at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall, PA.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday at Mountain Cemetery Decker Valley Road, Spring Mills.
