Wilbur Austin Brumbaugh Jr. "Brumy" "Web" "Jr.", 84 formerly from Nittany, Pa. went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 18, 2012. Wilbur was the son of the late Wilbur A. and Ida M. Brumbaugh both of Howard, Pa. He was born on December 3, 1927 in Tyrone, Pa.
He graduated from Howard High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from West Penn Power Company at the Nittany division after 37 years.
He was member of the Lamar United Methodist Church. Wilbur was an avid hunter, trapper and fisherman. He was a member of the Bald Eagle Rifle League, shooting for the Liberty Twp. Team. He also spent many enjoyable moments mentoring his children, grandchildren, and other family members in the ways of the outdoors.
Wilbur was preceded in death by his beloved wife Edna M. (Bierly) . He leaves his daughter, Ann Mogg and husband Tony of Cobbitty USW, Australia, his son Dennis Brumbaugh and wife Arline of Montoursville, Pa., granddaughter Katherine Wysocki and husband Leonard of Malvern, Pa., and his grandson Philip Brumbaugh and wife Amanda of Bellefonte, Pa.. He was from a large family with two brothers and four sisters. He is survived by two sisters, Caroline Day of Howard, Pa. and Mary Lou Cooney of Hilton Heard, S.C.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 W. Main Street, Howard with the Pastor Joan L. Gordon officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday, March 23, 2012 from 6 – 8:00 p.m. and Saturday for one hour prior to the funeral service.
