William H. "Uncle Bill" Hicks, 68, of Centre Hall, died Feb. 18, 2013, at Mount Nittany Medical Center. He was born Nov. 27, 1944, the son of the late Myron F. and Eva J. Brooks Hicks, in Bellefonte. He was a custodian at Wegman's. He served his country in the U. S. Air Force. He attended Eagle Heights Bible Church. He enjoyed crocheting. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and pets and caring for anyone in need. He is survived by two sons, William Edward (Kendra) Hicks, of Rebersburg and Titus K. Hicks, of California; two grandchildren, Kevin E. Hicks and Melinda L. Hicks, of Rebersburg; and three brothers Douglas E. Hicks, of Livonia, Stephen R. Hicks, of Howard and Timothy M. Hicks, of Howard. Services will be held at Eagle Heights Bible Church, Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, 11 a.m., with Pastor David Etters officiating. Family and friends will be received at Eagle Heights Bible Church, 1426 N. Eagle Valley Road, Howard, from 9-11 a.m. the time of the services. Burial will be in Livonia Cemetery in Livonia, at 2:30 p.m., where military honors will be accorded. Memorial contributions may be made to Eagle Heights Bible Church, 1426 N. Eagle Valley Road, Howard, PA 16841. Arrangements are under the direction of Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, Milesburg.
