William "Bill" Michael Strouse III, 57, of Bellefonte, unexpectedly left his family on May 31, 2010. Born Jan. 24, 1953, in Lamar, he was the son of William Strouse Jr. of Mill Hall and the late Mary Jane Strouse.
On June 16, 1973, he married the love of his life Carol Weaver Strouse. He had two children Amber S. Buchanan and Matthew Strouse. Bill graduated from Bald Eagle Nittany and the Williamsport School of Commerce. He was a man of many professions. Bill worked at Monroe Muffler in Lewistown for many years. After leaving that job for health reasons, he became a carrier for the Centre Daily Times. Bill was an impeccable, ingenious, brave man. He was an avid reader and had a passion for military history. He was devoted to his family and would do anything for them. Additionally, Bill was dedicated to his job as he worked up until his death.
To those who love him, he will forever be remembered as a charismatic, enlightening, and brilliant man that touched the lives of those he came in contact with.
Bill is survived by his father, wife, children, son-in-law, Bryan Buchanan, and three sisters.
Private memorial services are being arranged by the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
