Pacific “Skid” Scitti, formerly of Aaronsburg, passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Wynwood House in Centre Hall.  He was 95.  Born September 26, 1925 in Bellefonte, Pacific was a son of the late Emilio and Maria (Moser) Scitti.  He was a 1943 graduate of the former Gregg Township Vocational School.  On October 20, 1951, he married Joanne (Zettle) Scitti who survives at their home. 

Pacific was employed by the former Myers Brothers Meat Market of Spring Mills for a number of years.  In 1960 he moved his family to El Paso, TX after accepting employment with Prices Dairy.  In May of 1963 he accepted employment with Safeway Stores, Inc. of Clovis, NM in the Dairy Division.  In October of 1966 he was transferred to Landover, MD and worked there until his retirement in 1987.  Pacific enjoyed bowling and skiing.  After retirement he took up golfing until his health issues interfered.  He was a member of the New Hope Lutheran Church of Spring Mills.  Above all else, Pacific enjoyed the time spent with his family. 

In addition to his wife, Pacific is survived by one son, Chris of North Myrtle Beach, SC; one daughter, Diane Rithman of Laurel, MD; one sister, Ethel Green of Spring Mills; one sister in law, Miriam Snyder also of Spring Mills and numerous nieces and nephews.  Pacific was preceded in death by one brother, Ocean and five sisters, Esther, Mary, Vera, Theresa and Delphina.

A visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from 9:30-11:00 am at the New Hope Lutheran Church in Spring Mills, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am with Pastor Lauretta Dietrich officiating.  Pacific will be laid to rest in Holy Cross Cemetery in rural Spring Mills.  Contributions in his memory may be given to New Hope Lutheran Church, PO Box 96, Spring Mills, PA 16875.
