Robert A. Long, 74, of Howard, passed away on August 23, 2022, at Mount Nittany Medical Center. He was born on April 8, 1948, a son of the late Robert H. and Sara Bryan Long. On July 25, 1970, he was united in marriage to Deanna Pletcher. They would spend 52 years together. Along with Deanna, he is also survived by two sons, Robert P. Long, and David T. (Jessica) Long, two grandsons, Lucas and Isaac, and two brothers, Thomas (Patti) and Jeffrey Long all of Howard.
He enjoyed spending quality time with his grandsons, and he was an avid hunter. He belonged to Snow White Hunting Camp for 56 years where he served as past president and vice-president.
He was employed by Hanson Aggregates for over 40 years. He was a graduate of Bald Eagle High School Class of 1966 and was a member of the former St John’s United Methodist Church, Howard.
