Ruth E. Conaway, 69, of Moshannon, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2022, at the Mount Nittany Medical Center. Born on July 31, 1952, in Philipsburg, she was the daughter of the late James and Margaret (McKean) Schmoke.
Ruth was a 1972 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School. She was a member of the Tabernacle of the Living God church in Milesburg. She was employed at Hanover Foods in Centre Hall and retired after many years of service. After retirement, she worked at Skills, Inc, as a cleaning personnel.
Ruth was a true believer in the Lord. She enjoyed attending church services and loved her church family. She adored children and had a heart of gold. She would do anything for anyone in need.
Ruth is survived by her two daughters; Kathy Robinson of Houtzdale and Elizabeth Conaway of Reynoldsville; nine grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. She is also survived by her four siblings: Norma Lewis of Curwensville, Roy Schmoke of Philipsburg, Jim Schmoke of Currwensville, and Scott Schmoke and his wife, Kimberly, of Florida.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by three great grandchildren and by one sister, Judy Schmoke..
Visitation will be on Thursday, July 7, 2022, from 7-8pm followed by a funeral service at 8pm at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Snow Shoe with Pastor Jerry Coakley officiating. She will be laid to rest privately in Askey Cemetery.
