Born on March 9, 1944, in Canonsburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Florence (Charlier) Hennon. On January 22, 1966, she married her college sweetheart, Alexander F. Murnyack. Alex survives at home.

Sandie was a 1962 graduate of Hempfield High School and attended Clarion State College. She was a secretary for the Wingate Elementary School, retiring in 2011 after 30 ½ years of service. She was a faithful member of the Queen of Archangels Catholic Church in Clarence for many years.

Sandie was an avid reader. She enjoyed watching her soaps on TV, working jigsaw puzzles, and sewing. She also enjoyed watching God’s creation, such as the birds and deer that would come to visit her back yard. Sandie liked attending Broadway shows and all genres of music. She was a huge sports fan, following the Norwich University football games, Pittsburgh Steelers, and all sports through Bald Eagle Area High School. She followed her grandchildren in their sporting events and was their biggest cheerleader. Her greatest contribution to her family was the gift of faith.

Murnyack of Snow Shoe, Merrilyn M. Dunlap and her husband, Matthew, of Shippenville, and Mark A. Murnyack and his wife, Kerri, of Northfield, VT, and one brother, Gary W. Hennon of Greensburg, PA.
