Shirley M Spicer (Conaway)

Shirley M. Spicer, 75, of Karthaus, passed away on Monday, May 31, 2021, at the UMPC Altoona Hospital. Born on November 21, 1945, in Pottersdale, she was the daughter of the late William P. and Cleo (McGonagle) Conaway, Sr. On November 4, 1988, she married William A. “Bill” Spicer who survives at home.

Shirley attended the West Branch High School. She was of the Protestant faith. She was a homemaker most of her life. She led a very simple life and lived each day to the fullest and loved being with her husband.

Shirley is survived by one son, Billy J. Spicer and his wife, Melanie, of Centre Hall, one daughter, Edna J. Spicer of Clearfield, two brothers: Dave Conaway and Bob Conaway, and two sisters: Donnetta Reeder and Beverly Cowtrete, and eight grandchildren. 

Along with her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by one son, Alfred A. Spicer, Jr (1990), one daughter, Kathern L. Baranak (1992), and one brother, William Conaway, Jr.

All services will be private.
