Terry L. Bowmaster, 65, of Julian, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Born December 28, 1959, in Bellefonte, he was the son of Mona R. (Williams) Bowmaster of Bellefonte and the late James R. Bowmaster, Sr.
Terry was a 1977 graduate of Bellefonte Area High School and was of the Protestant faith. He had a strong work ethic and was employed at Corning Glass until its closing, followed by Cerro Copper and Brass, and later as a welder for Mustang Fabrication in Bellefonte.
A true outdoorsman, Terry found joy in camping, hunting, fishing, cooking, and canning. He was an active and dedicated member of numerous organizations, including the Hard Hunter Camp, the Original Order of Pricks, and was a life member of the Bellefonte Undines Fire Company. He also held social memberships with Bellefonte VFW Post 1600, Milesburg American Legion Post 893, Port Matilda American Legion Post 536, Clarence Moose Lodge 1655, and the Young Democratic Club of Clarence. Terry was especially proud of his 50-year membership with Logan Grange 109 in Pleasant Gap.
Terry was known for his outgoing nature and love of good company. He cherished time spent with friends and was always ready to share a laugh or lend a hand. His presence will be deeply missed by many.
He is survived by his mother, Mona; his companion, Wendy Thompson of Julian; his brother, Timothy S. Bowmaster and wife, Sherry, of North Carolina; and his beloved grandchildren: Taylor Bowmaster, Tyler Shaw, and Jesse Blair. Also close to his heart were his loyal dogs, Copper and Turd, and Brucie the goldfish.
In addition to his father, Terry was preceded in death by his daughter, Tiffany M. Bowmaster, and his brother, James R. Bowmaster, Jr.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, May 12, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon at Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Milesburg. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Catherine Dittman officiating. Burial will be private.
