Wayne was a 1957 graduate of Bellefonte High School. After graduation Wayne went to Washington DC and worked as a clerk for the FBI. He returned to Pleasant Gap in 1962 and went to work in the bakery at Penn State then moved to Pattee Library, where he worked his way up to Superintendent of Stacks before retiring in 1993.
He fiercely loved his family and friends who all remember him as willing to help others and very
generous with his time. As a sociable and gregarious person, we all have fond memories of sitting with
Wayne, drinking coffee (or martinis), smoking cigarettes, and shooting the breeze for hours.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at 2 PM at Zion Cemetery in Zion, PA with Pastor Bob Dornan officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to a food bank in Centre County.
