State College football standout Jashaun Green is staying home for his collegiate career.

The wide receiver and defensive back announced on Saturday that he has committed to Penn State football’s 2022 recruiting class as a preferred walk-on.

Checking in at 6-foot-2, 175 pounds, Green was an electric playmaker for the Little Lions, hauling in 40 catches for 654 yards and seven touchdowns during his senior season in 2021, despite missing several games mid-season with an injury. He also rushed 21 times for 161 yards and one score for a State College team that battled through injuries to reach the PIAA 6A semifinals, where he caught seven passes for 121 yards and two touchdowns in a loss to Mt. Lebanon.

He joins a 2022 Penn State recruiting class that ranked No. 6 in the nation and second in the Big Ten, according to 247 Sports.

He also joins two other State College products on the Nittany Lion roster: junior safeties Keaton Ellis and Jaden Seider.
