Businesses can tap international trade at workshop

BELLEFONTE — Businesses can gain key insights into being compliant under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations at a workshop hosted by SEDA-Council of Governments’ Export Development Program and Procurement Technical Assistance Center.

It will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 24 at 253 Transfer Road, Bellefonte.

The International Traffic in Arms Regulations Compliance workshop will provide participants with a solid understanding of compliance and responsibilities under the ITAR. The ITAR can be applicable to both exporting and non-exporting companies. It also will explain responsibilities in supporting their company’s compliance program from both perspectives.

Team Worldwide’s Bob Imbriani will present:

* ITAR overview

* Compliance responsibility

* General export controls

* Customer screening

* Registration requirements

* U.S. munitions list

* Agreements, licensing, record keeping, and more

The fee is $75 and includes course materials, refreshments, and lunch. The registration deadline is April 17 at www.seda-cog.org/export.
