PSU Parking Laws

The “No Parking 2 am to 6 am” Parking restrictions will not be enforced from Friday afternoon beginning at noon thru Sunday evening each weekend there is a HOME PSU football game. The 2-6 restrictions will begin again at 2 a.m. each Monday morning. The one and two hour restrictions will also not be enforced beginning Friday at noon and lawn parking will be permitted during the weekend. Visitors are encouraged to use the downtown parking garages at Beaver Ave, Fraser Street or Pugh Street which can be accessed 24 hours a day. NOTE: If inclement weather is predicted (i.e. snow/ice) street parking WILL NOT BE PERMITTED.

Please note that Pennsylvania Vehicle Code Violations will be strictly enforced at all times:

No Parking on the Sidewalk
No Parking within an Intersection
No Parking on a Crosswalk
No Parking within 20 feet of a Crosswalk at an Intersection
No Parking within 30 feet of a Stop Sign
No Parking over 12 inches from the curb
No Parking against Traffic
No Parking in Front of a Driveway

Cars in violation of any of the above violations will be subject to ticketing and also towing.

All other non-PA Vehicle Code Violations will be strictly enforced as well. Downtown Loading Zones are for commercial vehicles only and will be strictly enforced. Cars parked in violation may be towed. Parking meters on the streets are enforced from 8 am until 6 pm and in the parking lots from 8 am until 10 pm.
