42nd annual Dutch Fall Festival

Way Fruit Farm’s Fall Festival

Cranberry Festival

Black Moshannon State Park, Philipsburg

Noon to 4 p.m.

Activities at this festival include hiking to pick cranberries on the bog, making pinecone birdfeeders, Colonial candle-dipping and a hayride. There also will be some crafters at the event, which takes place near the Environmental Learning Center.  Cost is $1.

 

Sunday, Oct. 14, Friday Oct. 19, saturday oct. 20

The Arboretum at Penn State’s Pumpkin Festival

East Park Avenue and Bigler Road, State College

2018 festival activities are Sunday, Oct. 14 (1  to 3 p.m. or while supply lasts) for the Pumpkin Giveaway and Friday and Saturday, Oct. 19 and 20 (6  to 9 p.m.) for the lit jack-o’-lantern display. Family activities will be offered from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20.

This event includes something for the whole family, including pumpkin carving and jack-o’-lantern judging and displays.

The Bellefonte Historical Railroad Society will be hosting the annual rides in a restored 1940s-era passenger train.

Haunted House, Murarik Motorsports

This car dealership is transformed into a haunted house for a frightening weekend of fun. A charity will be selected to receive the donations generated by this event.

Seventh annual Fall Festival and Pumpkin Chuckin’ Festival

Bald Eagle State Park, Howard

10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

 

Hosted by the Howard Fire Company, this annual event features craft and food vendors, bands, square dancing and a pie-eating contest.

Saturday Oct. 20

Haunted Lake Loop trail

Black Moshannon State Park

7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Meet at the beach and hike as a group around the ¾ mile haunted lake loop trail as ghost and goblins jump out for scares and laughs.

 

Saturday, Oct. 27 

Fall Festival

Talleyrand Park, Bellefonte

11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Hear ghost stories and music and enjoy delicious food. A Halloween parade takes place at 1:30 p.m.

Halloween Costume Parade 

North Burrowes Street and West College Avenue, State College

6:30 p.m.

Community members are invited to participate in or watch this annual family-fun event. Costume judging will take place at Memorial Field by the Delta Sigma Phi fraternity. 

 

Saturday, Nov 3       

Witches Rallye

Bobby Rahal Honda, State College

Registration states at 3:30 p.m. Rally starts at 5 p.m.

For 40 years this event has  been a combination of a gimmick road rally, family-friendly scavenger hunt, party, and charity fundraiser.  This year it will benefit the jana Marie Foundation. Register at https://msreg.com/WitchesRallye2018.

Pleasant Gap Area Lioness Club Annual Fall Craft Show
