Luke Hilliard is approaching the halfway point of the 2,200-mile Appalachian Trail. Hilliard, a Penn State student and Boalsburg native, decided to take time off his studies to take an epic journey down the East Coast on the famous National Scenic Trail that was first completed in 1937.

While Mount Nittany is great, Rothrock State Forest offers plenty of options for hikes to see beautiful views and lovely fall foliage.
