After Renovations, Timberland Federal Credit Union Celebrates Grand Reopening in Pleasant Gap

Timberland Federal Credit Union recently celebrated the grand reopening of its Bellefonte/Pleasant Gap branch following renovations designed to create a more welcoming space.

The credit union at 161 W. College Ave. welcomed community members for a March 19 ribbon-cutting, refreshments and a look at the new atmosphere in connection with CBICC, which also hosted an After Hours event.

Timberland FCU reimagined how to best serve its members with a new design that prioritizes the need for areas where members can meet privately with staff while discussing their financial needs.

“We’re excited to celebrate the grand reopening of our Centre County office,” CEO Joel Slagan said. “This newly renovated space reflects our ongoing commitment to serving our members and the community.”

Timberland Federal Credit Union was established in 1973 as the Riverside Employee Federal Credit Union in DuBois. After its board of directors decided to expanded the credit union in 1985, it took on the Timberland name.

Today Timberland FCU has has four branches in DuBois, Clearfield, Philipsburg and Pleasant Gap, which opened in 2018. It serves people who live, work or worship in Armstrong, Blair, Cambria, Cameron, Centre, Clarion, Clearfield, Clinton, Elk, Forest, Huntingdon, Indiana, Jefferson and Mifflin counties.
