Updated with new start date.

“Hot Ones” is spicing up a downtown State College restaurant.

The popular YouTube show —known for celebrities answering questions while eating increasingly spicy chicken wings — is partnering with Champs Downtown, 139 S. Allen St., to offer Hot Ones Wings and Sandwiches for delivery and pickup in the State College area.

Starting Feb. 13, Champs will have six-piece and 12-piece wings and crispy chicken sandwiches tossed in a choice of six “Hot Ones” sauces available for order through hotonesdelivery.com or DoorDash, Grubhub and UberEats. Hot sauces will include, as described in a press release:

  • Los Calientes Rojo: Spicy and tropical
  • Los Calientes Verde: Baja-inspired
  • Los Calientes Barbacoa: Earth, smoke and heat
  • The Classic Chili Maple: Sweet and heat
  • Original Buffalo: Rich and tan
  • The Last Dab Apollo Hot Sauce

Ordering hours will be 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 4 p.m. to midnight Friday; noon to midnight Saturday; and noon to 11 p.m. on Sunday.

Through virtual franchising platform Mealco, “Hot Ones” has to date partnered with more than three dozen restaurants nationwide for delivery of chicken sandwiches and wings in its signature sauces. Champs Downtown will be the first in Pennsylvania outside of the Philadelphia area, according to the Hot Ones Wings and Sandwiches website.

Produced by First We Feast and hosted by Sean Evans, “Hot Ones” recently completed its 25th season and is celebrating its 10th year. Drawing millions of viewers to each episode and featuring a wide variety of celebrity guests, the show has earned a Daytime Emmy nomination while spawning two game show spinoffs and a line of hot sauces.
