An indoor golf simulator business is getting ready to open a new location in the State College area.
Centre Swing 24/7 has signed a lease for what the company says will be its “biggest location yet” at 1358 E. College Ave., the former home of State Amusement Company. It will be the company’s third location, joining facilities in Bellefonte and Mill Hall.
The new location promises more private simulator bays, according to a social media post, along with the same technology found at the other locations that offers more than 2,000 courses with multiple swing cameras, a ball impact camera and more.
Open 24 hours a day every day, Centre Swing has memberships and hourly rates. It also hosts events, leagues and lessons.
The business is in the process of renovating the new location and is aiming for a fall opening.
“This is just the beginning. We’ll be sharing the transformation as we turn this space into the ultimate indoor golf experience,” the company wrote on Facebook.
It’s one of two indoor golf businesses teeing up new locations along the East College Avenue corridor.
The Golf Loft plans to open a 12,500-square-foot complex in The Plaza at Aspen State College, 250 Squirrel Drive. It will be the company’s second location, joining one in York County, and will have a bar and restaurant.
An opening date for the Golf Loft has not yet been announced, though a late June social media post showed construction on the space progressing.
