Pleasant Gap Restaurant Permanently Closes After 30 Years in Business

A Pleasant Gap restaurant has closed after more than 30 years in business.

Rony’s Place Restaurant and Pizzeria, 276 W. College Ave., is permanently closed “due to circumstances beyond my control,” co-owner Susan Lopez wrote in a post Wednesday on the restaurant’s Facebook page. The restaurant had previously been listed as temporarily closed.

Lopez thanked customers for their years of support.

“We had a lot of friends and customers who became like family to us,” Lopez wrote. “My kids grew up in this place and my grandkids got their start here! We miss our ‘home’ as much as you all do!”

Rony’s Place served pizza, stromboli, calzones, sandwiches, subs, salads and Italian entrees as well as breakfast and lunch menus.

The owners are not currently looking to sell or lease the building, according to the post.
