PMG Pennsylvania will expand its Philipsburg manufacturing facility after landing a major new automotive customer expected to drive significant revenue growth at the Centre County operation.

The expansion will add to the existing facility at 187 Enterprise Drive and marks the third major expansion since the original building was constructed in 2003, the company announced Tuesday.

The new business comes alongside another significant award from a major automotive customer that PMG Pennsylvania recently received. Together, the contracts are expected to strengthen the company’s growth and create additional opportunities at the Philipsburg site.

“We are very pleased with this customer decision and what it means for the bright future of this location,” PMG Group CEO Johann Spanner said. “The PMG global group remains a solid player in the worldwide automotive powder metal, systems and subassembly markets.”

PMG Pennsylvania is part of the global Powder Metal Goldschmidt Group, which manufactures powder metal components and assemblies for automotive, industrial, energy, medical and mobility applications. PMG was founded in 1960 and has more than 60 years of experience developing and manufacturing customized powder metal products for customers worldwide.

The company said it is seeking employees as it expands. Employment inquiries can be directed to Jessica Hahn at jessica.hahn@pmgsinter.com.
