Stuckey Automotive Breaks Ground for New Benner Pike Location

Work is getting underway for a new auto dealership and service center on Benner Pike near Bellefonte.

Stuckey Automotive on Monday held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new 49,300-square-foot Ford dealership facility on a currently vacant parcel across the road from Giant supermarket in Benner Township.

Once completed in about two years, Stuckey Ford Bellefonte will move to the new property from its current nearby location at 2892 Benner Pike, which the company will retain as a collision center.

The new location will allow Stuckey Ford “to expand its facilities and enhance the sales and service experience for customers,” according to the Chamber of Business and Industry of Centre County.

It will include 32 service bays, making it one of the largest service centers in central Pennsylvania.

As a Ford Pro Elite facility, it will offer maintenance for commercial vehicles and fleets and sell commercial vehicles.

Stuckey Automotive President Matt Stuckey was joined at the groundbreaking by CBICC President and CEO Greg Scott, Centre County Commissioner Mark Higgins and state Rep. Kerry Benninghoff, R-Bellefonte, among others.

The dealership is part of a multi-phase development on a parcel that was subdivided into two lots in 2025.

The second lot, to be developed by local real estate developer Bob Poole, is slated to include two fast food restaurant buildings of 2,545 and 4,200 square feet at the front of the property and two commercial/retail buildings at the back. Specific businesses for that development have not yet been publicly identified, and a land development plan has not yet been submitted.

The existing traffic signal at the north end of the Paradise Shopping Center will be modified from a three-way to a four-way intersection and a new entrance road will be constructed for the development.
