Santa Claus made his grand arrival in the State College area on Wednesday evening with help from the Alpha Fire Company.
The fire company’s annual Santa Run escorted the big guy through Centre Region neighborhoods over the course of several hours on Christmas Eve, with a convoy of engines decked out in lights and decorations.
Thanks to some Christmas magic and with the help of dozens of vlunteers, the Santa Express runs east and west routes to cover as much of the region as possible. Amateur radio volunteers provided exact locations for real-time maps on the Alpha website so community members could see exactly when Santa would be in their neighborhoods.
