Centre County Library and Historical Museum Names New Executive Director

Centre County Library and Historical Museum has selected its new executive director.

Tina Zins’ appointment began on March 16. She succeeds Denise Sticha, who retired in December after more than seven years in the role and more than 30 years in library work.

Zins brings 15 years of experience advocating for equitable library services and has directed three public libraries in Western Pennsylvania: the Penn Hills Library, Carnegie Library of Homestead and Apollo Memorial Library.

In 2024, she was a Pride and Promise Honoree for her dedication to the Penn Hills School District and Penn Hills community. 

Zins said she is “committed to ensuring that the library remains the heart of the community by providing access to a wide range of resources, spaces and regular classes and events.” She is “excited to collaborate and work together to further support our community.” 

Centre County Library and Historical Museum has branches in Bellefonte, Centre Hall and Philipsburg, as well as a historical museum and genealogical library at the Miles-Humes House in Bellefonte.
