Centre LGBT+ has announced its call for sponsors for State College Pride 2026.
The annual event celebrating community and advocating for LGBT+ rights is set for June 13, starting with a parade at 10 a.m. followed immediately by a festival.
Now in its sixth year, State College Pride is expected to draw more than 7,000 people and, according to Centre LGBTQ+, the event “is a unique opportunity for businesses, organizations and individuals to demonstrate their commitment to inclusivity, equality and support for the LGBT+ community.”
“Centre LGBT+ is incredibly excited for State College Pride 2026 and we aim to foster a sense of advocacy, belonging, love and solidarity by bringing Centre County and surrounding areas together in celebration of all backgrounds, orientations and identities,” Cat Cook, Centre LGBT+ executive director, said.
Sponsorship of State College Pride, Cook said, “shows a visible commitment to inclusion, equity and respect for LGBT+ community members, employees and customers” as well as building brand visibility and reputation and supporting an event that has a positive economic and cultural impact for the Centre Region.
Interested businesses, organizations, food vendors and individuals can learn more about sponsorship opportunities by visiting centrelgbtplus.org/pride or by contacting Cook at cat@centrelgbtplus.org.
