The Downtown State College Improvement District hosted its 24th annual Fall Fest on a picture-perfect autumn afternoon Saturday on the 200 block of South Allen Street.
Hundreds of community members turned out for games, activities, pumpkins, food and entertainment.
“Downtown Fall Fest is a beloved tradition that brings the heart of our community together,” Lee Anne Jeffries, DSCID executive director, said. “Thanks to the generous support of the Happy Valley Adventure Bureau and the Centre County Board of Commissioners, we’re proud to offer a day of family fun that celebrates the best of fall in Centre County.”
As in years past, the Centre County Youth Service Bureau is a key partner in the event, organizing more than a dozen free kids activities provided by local nonprofit organizations.
The event also featured free balloon animals from Nittany Balloons, face painting by Faces and Spaces Artistry, pumpkins from Martin’s Garden Center, pumpkin decorating activity sponsored by Growing Tree Toys and personalized drawings by “Monster D” Damian Cabrera, as well as pop-up theater performances by Tempest Productions and food vendors Juana’s, Belly Busters, Kona Ice and Rebelz Cuisine.
