A 21-year-old Centre County man died after crashing his motorcycle into an SUV on Friday in Milesburg, according to state police at Rockview.
Aiden L. Andrews, of Snow Shoe, was driving a Suzuki GSX-R at a high rate of speed when he struck the passenger-side rear bumper of a Ford Ecosport at about 7:15 a.m. on the 300 block of Turnpike Street/Route 144, police wrote in a crash report on Monday.
Andrews sustained serious injuries to his torso and was taken from the scene by Bellefonte EMS, police wrote. He was then flown by Life Flight helicopter to UPMC Williamsport, where he was pronounced dead.
The 51-year-old Bellefonte man who was driving the SUV was not injured.
Andrews was a 2022 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School who worked as an assistant manager at Dunkin’ in Benner Township, according to his obituary.
His family remembered him as “a kind-hearted, confident and outgoing young man whose presence left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.” Born in China, he “had a deep love for the outdoors,” and was “creative and multitalented,” playing guitar and expressing himself through art.
