Community members filled South Allen Street on a picturesque autumn day Saturday for the 25th annual Downtown State College Fall Fest.
Hosted by the Downtown State College Improvement District, the event featured free family activities from local nonprofits, a fun house, fall photo station, face painting, custom balloon creations from Nittany Balloons, personalized cartoon drawings from Monster D and pop-up theater by Tempest Productions.
Children could also take pony rides and visit a pumpkin patch from Martin’s Garden Center t receive a free pumpkin to decorate with supplies provided by Growing Tree Toys.
“Fall Fest is a wonderful opportunity for families, friends and neighbors to come together and enjoy all that downtown State College has to offer,” Lee Anne Jeffries, executive director of the Downtown State College Improvement District, said. “We’re grateful to the Happy Valley Adventure Bureau, the Centre County Board of Commissioners, and our community sponsors for helping make this annual celebration possible.”
Here’s a look at the sights from Fall Fest by photographer Mikayla Corrigan.
