Faculty and students at Mount Nittany Elementary and Middle schools are partnering for their annual clothing drive that will make a wide variety of items available for free to local community members.
On Saturday, Nov. 4 and Sunday, Nov. 5, the schools will offer an array of free, gently-used clothing, coats, shoes, boots and accessories from infant to XXXL sizes. Backpacks, bedding, household items, toys, books and sports gear will be available as well.
The event will be open 10 a.m to 4 p.m.. on Nov. 4 and noon to 3 p.m. on Nov. 5 in the Mount Nittany Middle School cafeteria, 656 Brandywine Drive.
The clothing drive annually collects hundreds of pounds of clothing and items to offer to the public. Anything not taken at the clothing drive will be donated to the Goodwill of North Central Pennsylvania. Last year, organizers delivered approximately 500 pounds of clothing, as well as many other items that weren’t weighed.
Donations to the clothing drive can be dropped off from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 3, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4.
