The Music on the Lawn series continues with a performance by Porch Party from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 19, on the lawn at Zion Lutheran Church, 305 N. Church St. in Boalsburg.
Porch Party features band members Liz Lasher, Mickey Tomasetti, Tom Mallouk, Randy Doughty and Michelle Katz, performing a mix of folk, country, blues and rock spanning several decades.
The concert is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket and enjoy an afternoon of live music on the lawn. The event is family-friendly and has drawn a welcoming mix of Boalsburg residents, children and even four-legged friends to previous concerts.
Music on the Lawn is held rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will move inside the church.
The July 19 performance is part of Zion Lutheran Church’s Grounded in Boalsburg initiative, which brings together local residents, families, and the wider Centre County community through events that celebrate Boalsburg’s history, place, and community life. Additional concerts are scheduled for Aug. 16, featuring Free Range, and Sept. 13, featuring Andy Tolins.
