Centre County Adds 10 COVID-19 Cases; Pennsylvania Reports 645 New Positives

Centre County reported 10 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday to increase its total to 17,030, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

Pennsylvania added 645 positives, bringing the statewide total to 1,222,302.

The county also reported 64 negative test results to bring its total to 72,543. Statewide, there were 4,922 new negatives for a total of 4,894,375.

According to the DOH hospital preparedness dashboard, 10 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized in Centre County, two more than on Tuesday. None are in intensive care or on ventilators.

Pennsylvania has 445 COVID-19 inpatients, an increase of 15 since Tuesday, with 95 in intensive care [-2] and 46 on ventilators [+3].

DOH reported no new deaths attributed to the virus among Centre County residents, keeping the total at 228.

With seven new COVID-19 deaths statewide, Pennsylvania’s total is now 27,838.

As of Wednesday morning, 77,493 people in Centre County are fully vaccinated and 5,485 are partially covered.

Vaccination appointments for ages 12 and older are available through Centre Volunteers in Medicine, Mount Nittany Health and through other pharmacies and providers listed at vaccines.gov.
