Country singer-songwriter Kacey Musgraves will kick off the North American leg of her “Deeper Well” world tour on Sept. 4 at Penn State’s Bryce Jordan Center, according to a tour announcement on Thursday.
Indie rock musician Father John Misty and modern bluegrass band Nickel Creek will open the 7:30 p.m. show.
Ticket presales start on March 5 — visit the tour website to register for early access. Tickets go on sale to Penn State students at 10 a.m. on March 7 and to the general public at 10 a.m. on March 8.
Musgraves is hitting the road starting in April for an international tour in support of her new album, “Deeper Well,” out March 15, the follow-up to 2021’s lauded “Star-Crossed.”
Since her major label 2013 debut “Same Park Different Trailer” won the Grammy Award for Best Country Album, Musgraves has become one of the most prominent and critically acclaimed figures in country music.
The Texas native has won four Academy of Country Music Awards, seven CMA Awards and seven Grammys, most recently earning earning Best Country Duo/Group Performance for “I Remember Everything” with another upcoming BJC performer, Zach Bryan. The song was the first for both artists to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
