STATE COLLEGE — Jon A. Carlson, D.C., CCSP, a board certified chiropractic sports physician has joined the staff at Geisinger Gray’s Woods. A former athlete himself, Dr. Carlson obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Logan University, College of Chiropractic and is Geisinger’s first chiropractor.
He was awarded the Health Center Achievement Award by Logan Health Centers in recognition of his exemplary clinical performance and academic excellence.
Dr. Carlson completed the CCSP (certified chiropractic sports physician) program and passed the national board exam in April 2011 to become a Board Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician by the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians. Dr. Carlson completed his rotation at the United States Olympics Medical Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.
