Most Penn State football fans have the upcoming 2013 season on their minds, but it is never too early to plan ahead and start thinking about the annual Blue-White game.
Next year’s spring scrimmage has been set for Saturday, April 12. The game will highlight the three-day Blue-White Weekend that will run from April 11-13th.
The weekend will include the typical food, fireworks, music, and other live entertainment that fans have come to expect, but one thing to keep an eye on is possible changes to the game’s format.
Head coach Bill O’Brien left the option open of altering the spring game to lessen the chance of injuries since the Nittany Lions are facing reduced scholarship numbers due to NCAA sanctions. Starting running back Zach Zwinak suffered a wrist injury during the 2013 game but is expected to be ready for summer practice in August.
A kickoff time was not announced.
