The State College Spikes announced their 2025 lineup of theme nights, giveaways, promotions and events ahead of the upcoming season. From Elgses Night to Star Wars Night to Yellowstone Night, this season is stacked with weekly events and promotions.
Throughout the summer, the Spikes will give away bobbleheads of beloved Penn Staters. The team will honor Penn State football legend Paul Posluszny on July 25, followed by women’s volleyball head coach Katie Schumacher-Cawley and men’s hockey head coach Guy Gadowsky on Aug. 10 and Aug. 28. The first 1,000 fans at each game will receive the night’s corresponding bobblehead.
Every Saturday home game will feature a postgame fireworks display, starting with opening night on June 7 and continuing with shows on June 21, July 12, July 26, Aug. 9 and Aug. 23.
The Spikes will host a trio of “Bark in the Park” nights throughout the season, where fans can bring their dogs to the ballpark on June 8, July 8 and Aug. 8.
The fan-favorite “Star Wars” night will return to Medlar Field on July 18, featuring real-life “Star Wars” characters and music and clips from the franchise throughout the night. The night will close out with an out-of-this-world fireworks show.
On Aug. 8, the team will pay homage to the hit TV show “Yellowstone” by wearing special Yellowstone-themed jerseys. On Aug. 23, the Spikes will honor the Philadelphia Eagles during “Elgses Night” by giving away kelly green Eagles T-shirts to the first 260 fans.
Online single-game tickets for all 40 home games, starting with opening night presented by PSECU on June 6 and running all the way to the regular season home finale on Thursday, Aug. 28, are now available.
