Three people, including an 8-year-old girl, were flown to a hospital for serious injuries after a head-on collision over the weekend in Centre County, state police at Rockview wrote in a crash report on Wednesday.
A 43-year-old Delaware man driving a 2023 Kia Sorento crashed into a 2023 Jeep Wrangler driven by a 64-year-old Aaronsburg man at about 1:30 p.m. Saturday on Old Route 322 near Bloom Road in Potter Township, police wrote.
The Kia was traveling northbound when the driver went it into the southbound lane and struck the Jeep head on. Both vehicles came to an uncontrolled rest facing east.
The driver of the Kia and his two passengers — the child and a 40-year-old woman, both of Delaware — were flown by medevac helicopters to Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center to be treated for serious injuries.
The driver of the Jeep sustained minor injuries and was treated at Mount Nittany Medical Center.
