Various emergency personnel from Penn State and Centre Region will conduct their emergency response drill from 6:30-9 p.m. Wednesday night at University Park Airport.
The drill, required to be done every three years, will involve local police and fire departments, emergency medical services, the regional HazMat crew and several local government and community agencies, along with Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting response crews, according to Penn State.
The airport will remain open and operate under a normal schedule. However, traffic may be heavier, so travelers are urged to give extra time to travel to the airport.
