The Alpha Fire Company will assemble its Santa Express run Saturday night, sending decorated fire engines into State College-area neighborhoods on Christmas Eve.
As of midweek, the volunteer fire company had not finalized its routes for the Santa Express. The fire engines carry Santa Claus himself, who greets residents young and old in residential areas across the Centre Region.
But updates will be posted on the Alpha website, the company announced. Those who want to follow Santa’s progress can do so through amateur radio and online; details are available via an Alpha blog post.
The Santa Express has become an annual tradition for the Alphas, who dress up the engines with holiday lights and other signs of the season.
