Shortly after 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening, Alpha Fire crews responded to a working building fire at 211 W. Hamilton Avenue. Upon arrival at the scene, police confirmed that the fire was on the second floor and centered in one apartment. All occupants were alreay evacuated and no one was injured.
Flames were visible from the outside of the building in the second floor apartment. The blaze was seemingly extinguished by 7:30 p.m.
Most of the damage was contained to a single apartment on the second floor. No injuries were reported after the blaze was put out, and the property damange was minimal. Icy conditions made personnel take extra care while operating on scene.
