Avenged Sevenfold formed in 1999 and broke big in 2005 with the platinum selling City of Evil. That kicked off a string of blockbuster albums including another platinum-seller with their self-titled album in 2007 and consecutive Billboard No. 1s in 2010’s Nightmare and 2013’s Hail To The King. The band has been one of the most-played on rock radio over the past decade with multiple No. 1 singles.
The Stage, released in 2016, is a concept album about artificial intelligence and the destruction of society and was met with positive reviews by critics.
Breaking Benjamin formed in Wilkes-Barre in 1999 and went on to international success, scoring four platinum and five gold albums over the past two decades, with hits like ‘The Diary of Jane,’ ‘Breath,’ ‘Failure’ and ‘I Will Not Bow’ reaching the top of the Mainstream Rock charts.
The Welsh metal band Bullet for My Valentine has had staying power as well, breaking through in the U.S. and UK with its 2005 debut The Poison. Since then the band has sold more than 5 million albums worldwide, with their most recent album, Venom, coming out in 2015.
